Image
The new crop of political leaders have been admonished to choose their words wisely as in the popular Yoruba proverb that Ọ̀rọ̀ rírọ̀ ni í yọ obì lápò, ọ̀rọ̀ líle nií yọ ọfà lápó when interpreted in English signifies that soft words can pull kolanuts from a pouch, as much as strong words do pull arrows from a quiver.  This admonition came forth from the charismatic caretaker chairman of Labour party in Lagos, Omoba Adesoyin Olumide on Monday via an interview session that was conducted by hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin the partys public relations officer. Omoba Adesoyin Olumide denounced the maiden speech by the newly inuagurated APC government led by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and described the approach and announcement of the cancelation of fuel subsidy as rather harsh, ill-timed and unnecessary. Furthermore, Omoba Adesoyin Olumide added that as leaders we should understand that the powers inherent in spoken words have to be carefully articulated so as not to abuse or hurt the se...

A lot of water has passed under the bridge, is the saying that one can best describe the disposition of the caretaker chairman of labour party in Lagos Omoba Adesoyin Olumide with reference to the ruling by an Edo state high court with regards to the suspended National chairman of labour party barrister Julius Abure. In an exclusive interview with media guru and Lagos state Labour party public relations officer hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin on Friday afternoon, Omoba Adesoyin Olumide reminded Nigerians that the court case in Edo state and that of the federal high court in Abuja are two different, distinct and non identical cases. Finally, he ended his statement by reminding Nigerians of the subsisting court order by the FCT high court that whomsoever does any form of business with the restrained chairman of the party, does so at his or her own peril.
