The attention of the leadership of Labour Party had been drawn to a dishonest, underhanded, crooked, false, deceiving, phony and misleading public statement by the Nigeria Labour Congress Political Committee and it's appointment of a caretaker committee for Labour Party in Gombe state.

The Nigeria Labour Congress and it's political commission should be reminded that it is merely a pressure group and not in any way and manner a political party nor an organ of Labour Party Nigeria.

Furthermore, it is rather unfortunate that while some well meaning members of the party are striving and making all attempts to set the Labour Party on the right part, good stead and the desire to steer the ship of the nation on the part of growth and genuine develop, NLC on its own part is determined to destroy, pull down, tear down, knock down and demolish the party.

Subsequently, we will like to remind the NLC and it's destructive Political commission that the supreme court of Nigeria is on the verge of determining the proper and appropriate, correct, genuine, and acceptable, authority and management of the labour party and hence advice them to thread softly and honourably as any attempt to derail the party will be resisted constitutionally .

Our attention has been drawn to a statement that was credited to HE Peter obi, the labour party presidential candidate at the 2023 general elections.   While addressing Nigerians on X space,  Peter obi was quoted as saying that "we promised to build Nigeria, we did not promise to build a New Labour Party". THIS IS WHY INEC STOPPED RECOGNISING ABURE AS THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF LABOUR PARTY The Nigeria Labour Congress has written the Independent National Electoral Commission, urging it to halt any support for the national convention of the Labour Party scheduled for March 27, 2024. In a Friday letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, the NLC accused the Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Julius Abure, and his associates of planning an illegal convention in defiance of court orders. Ignore all machinations, Sola Ebiseni remains the Governorship candidate of Labour Party. Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow. Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts.
