Stop selling your votes, it is merely a Greek gift that is given with the intention of tricking and causing harm - Hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin
Nigerians from all ethnic and religious divide have been adviced to desist from the culture of selling their votes.
This advice emanated from none other than the Kosofe constituency 2 assembly candidate for Labour party in Lagos, Hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin. The prominent and very popular grassroot politician in a statement on Wednesday morning described the culture of vote buying that seem to have eaten deep into the political fabric of all Nigerians as a Greek gift that politicians have over the years used as a tool to trick and cause untold hardship on Nigerians in the long run.
Furthermore, hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin said that Nigerians should understand that tough times do no last but tough people do, and described the current economic trail that the country is passing through as a temporary discomfort that will pay off on the long run only if Nigerians are patient and prepared to be honest to themselves and follow true guidance.
Finally, he concluded by saying that Nigerians should have realized by now the fact that the top political class only remember them during election and seem to abandon them immediately they achieve their aim of getting into public office, he then counselled them to make the wise choice by voting for selfless leaders that will always have the interest of the populace at heart no matter their status.
