Governor Ademola Adeleke set to decamp to YPP.

Barring any last minute and unforseen changes, the current executive governor of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke seems set to pitch his tent with the young Progressives Party YPP.

Fresh Indication arose on Tuesday with top level consultations in this regard

Furtherance to the above, Governor Ademola Adeleke who officially resigned his membership of the people Democratic party, citing unresolved internal crisis for his inevitable departure is seeking to secure and actualise his bid to return to Bola Ige house (The Osun State government office) leading to the gubernatorial elections scheduled to hold on the 8th of August 2026.

However, one is not surprised with Governor Ademola Adelekes choice of picking the Young Progressives Party, especially since it is a political party that instantly resonates with the teeming youth population of the country, which clearly showed and manifested itself with its impressive performance at the recently concluded Anambra State gubernatorial election which took place on the 8th of November 2025.
