Politics is not a game, but a serious business, let's get involved - Hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin

Politics has been described as a serious business, this notion was put forward by Hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin the house of assembly candidate for Kosofe constituency 2 in Lagos.

The former activist and convener of Project change Nigeria Advocacy group gave the counsel and urged all Nigerians and especially the youths to get more actively involved in the political activities in their dormain. He also went further to explain that politics is not like a premiership or laliga football game but a very serious business.

Furthermore, Hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin said that politicians are embedded with the power to influence virtually all aspects of life, and may be even the air we breathe, which clearly explains why politicians can instruct the citizens to wear face masks that will obstruct the air they breathe in.

In his admonishion, hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin stated that it has become more important than ever that all Nigerians regardless of their age, religion or ethnic affiliation get involved and vote in reliable and competent individuals with proven impeccable character or things might get worse.

In a Friday letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, the NLC accused the Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Julius Abure, and his associates of planning an illegal convention in defiance of court orders. Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow. Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts.
