Hon Olapeju Kafilat Fasasi dissociates herself from the claim that she has stepped down her candidacy

Hon Olapeju Kafilat Fasasi the Kosofe constituency 1 candidate of labour party in Lagos state has come to debunk the claim by a section of APC members that have infiltrated the party.

In a press release she made on the 17th of December 2022, she dissociated herself completely from the rumour that obviously emanated from meeting held on Wednesday with Hon Akinwande Osikominu that she has agreed to step down for him.

For the records, she said in the press release that even though there was an agreement to focus on the party has it is the party logo that will be on the ballot box on election day but stands on her position while she is committed to the ideals of the party, she will be pursuing her case in the overall interest of equity, fairness and justice.

Her position is squarely based on the electoral act which states that has long as INEC has released her name as the candidate of the party and she did not withdraw and by Gods grace she is still very much alive, she still remains the candidate of the party.

Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow. Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts.
