The Lagos state house of assembly candidate for Labour party in Kosofe constituency 2, Hon Okufuwa Samad Oluwatoyin has sent out a heart warming new year message to Nigerians and especially the residents of Kosofe in Lagos.

In his special message of hope, the social scientist said that the year 2023 with it's attendant unique astronomical and numerological number of 7, which depicts perfection has clearly shown that the coming 2023 election is destined to be a year of greatness and renewed opportunity for all Nigerians.

Furthermore, he reiterated his regular plea to all Nigerians to set aside both ethnic and religious emotions and sentiments by voting in the right leaders that will selflessly steer the ship of the nation in the right direction at all levels.

In addition, he went further went ahead to state that he is happy with the renewed level of reawakening of Nigerians, which is being led especially by the youths who were hitherto unbothered and concerned about governance in the country and pray that this new level of political reinvigoration will bring in the much desired change in the polity in the coming years.

In a Friday letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, the NLC accused the Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Julius Abure, and his associates of planning an illegal convention in defiance of court orders. Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow. Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts.
