Gentlemen of the Press,
I welcome you to this press briefing on and about the activities of the OAOE foundation, the formal launch and presentation of same that will be coming up on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

INTRODUCTION
The OAOE Foundation was an idea and thought that was borne out of the passion i have for the elderly, having watched my late mother (whom i took over from) been there for my Grandparents, tending and attending to their everyday needs, and it was this that i grew with and after the death of my Grandfather particularly, this led me to adopt the idea of caring for the elderly in the my Church, and from there i took it into the larger Society, it was this attitude of mine way back that gave birth to what we have come to brief you about today.

The Olori Aderonke Omolola Erinle (OAOE) Foundation is a non for profit and Non Governmental Organization that advocates and propagates the need to help, invigorate and rehabilitate the Senior Citizens (Old people) in our Society.  With our Motto which is “Positively Affecting Lives (PALs)” ,our mission is to ‘Dispense total care by providing financial assistance and emotional support to the vulnerable and our vision is “Touching lives, Creating Change, Redefining hope and Dispensing hope”, as we engage, help and grant all forms of support to the aged.

 The Foundation is also actively involved in various charity programme geared toward assisting the widows, the motherless children and physically challenged in our Society.
Our work so far has been self sponsored, support from few companies and passionate individuals who shares in the vision of the Foundation.
Going forward, we are putting measures in place to build a sustainable home that offers value and pulls in the resources to effectively carry out our mission.

In view of the above, we would like to use this opportunity to invite in-partnership, Prestigious Organization to come sponsor the foundation at our Charity & Fundraising Ball which is scheduled to hold on September 14, 2019 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos by 4pm.
This event will encompass a number of novel programs around the aged especially the official unveiling of the Adult Care Centre (Old People’s Home) and a fashion line for the aged which has been created to sustain the Foundation. The Home will provide a decent and wholesome environment for the vulnerable aged. 

I would like to use this medium to thank the Almighty God for this sustainable vision because without God, we can do nothing. To My Family and individuals involved as volunteers’ of this great mission, i say a big thank you. To individuals and Corporate Organisations that will like to partner with us, we say thank you in advance as we look forward to a favorable response from you to enable us make adequate preparation on all communication materials for the Event at large.

THIS IS WHY INEC STOPPED RECOGNISING ABURE AS THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF LABOUR PARTY The Nigeria Labour Congress has written the Independent National Electoral Commission, urging it to halt any support for the national convention of the Labour Party scheduled for March 27, 2024. In a Friday letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, the NLC accused the Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Julius Abure, and his associates of planning an illegal convention in defiance of court orders. The NLC’s solicitors, Falana and Falana’s Chambers, in the letter dated March 22, 2024, highlighted the illegality of such a gathering, citing previous court rulings that declared the Labour Party’s status and ordered inclusive conventions. Ignore all machinations, Sola Ebiseni remains the Governorship candidate of Labour Party. Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow. Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts. For the umpteenth time and avoidance of doubt, Ayo Olorunfemi was not a party to any of the cases either at the High Court or the Court of Appeal and his Appeal as an Interested party was dismissed.
