ADVOCACY GROUP CALLS ON FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO RESOLVE ETHNIC CRISIS

The PROJECT CHANGE NIGERIA advocacy group has called on the federal government to call a stakeholders meeting to address the re occurring issue of inter ethnic rivalry in the country.

The group noted that, this round table meeting has become inevitable in other to douse the ethnic tension that has taken up new heights in light of the call for secession by the Igbos in the country and the recent call by arewa youths giving the Igbo 3 months ultimatum to vacate the northern part of the country.

In a communique on Thursday the Project Change Nigeria group which is predominantly a youth based organisation with members from all works of life, have also called on the federal government to release the report of the last constitutional conference with a view to ratifying its recommendation seeing it as a solution to the many agitations of Nigerians.

Hence they advised the government to set aside party or political bias and do the needful in the overall interest of the nation.
