Barely 2-Months After Child Birth, Yoruba Actress Moji Olaiya Dies

Few weeks after the announcement of the deaths of two popular actors Olumide Bakare and Pastor Ajidara,  Nollywood, yet again has been thrown into a mourning state as news reaching us is that another Nollywood actor, Moji Olaiya has passed on.

In March, the very popular Yoruba actress, Moji Olaiya welcomed her first child In Canada a few months after she officially divorced her first husband to marry another man. The 42-year-old Nollywood star delivered a baby girl.


However, it is with utterly sad hearts that we announce that the  daughter of highlife music legend, Victor Olaiya passed away in a hospital in Canada. It was said that her cause of death could be linked to complications that stemmed from her child birth in March. It is also possible that the actress would be buried in Canada where she passed on.

Moji’s first marriage fell apart in 2008, and the yoruba actress decided to give love another when when she sealed her new union months ago at a quite ceremony.

Miji Olaiya shot to limelight after she featured in Wale Adenuga’s popular family soap, Superstory. She is also known for movies like Apaadi, Sade Blade, Ikan Ade, Ojiji Aye, Omo Iya Meta leyi and more. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow. Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts.
