BREAKING: Again, Emir Of Kano Orders Immediate Release Of Ese Oruru To Her Parents
Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II has ordered the immediate release of Ese Oruru, the 14-year-old teenager who was abducted from her home in Bayelsa, converted to Islam, and forced to marry a man in Kano.
The Kano Emir who gave this order on Monday, February 29, also asked the Kano State Sharia commission to liaise with office of the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of police, zone 1 to commence the process of returning girl who was abducted by Yunusa of Kura local government area of Kano state.
The emir of Kano, in his first official response since the abduction of the youngster was made public, distanced himself, Kano emirate council from the purported abduction by her suspected lover.
“I have ordered the sharia commission to liaise with the office of Deputy Inspector General of police zone to repatriate and reconcile the teenager with her family immediately,” he said.
The young girl was abducted in Opolo, Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state, by Yunusa in August, 2015.
