Tambuwal Shocking Revelation: Now You Know Tinubu Is A Dealer Not A Leader

Image
February 07, 2019  A keen and discerning political watcher in Lagos would not be shocked by the uncensored revelation by a former speaker of the House of Representatives and current governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal in a recently published piece in Vanguard Newspaper where exposed how All Progressives Leader Bola Tinubu dealt treacherously with him and others. I would not doubt Tambuwal’s account a bit of how Tinubu deceived and backed out of gentleman agreements on how principal offices in the National Assembly will be allocated when the APC won the 2015 elections. That scenario vividly captured the stock in trade of Tinubu – dealership Tinubu’s antecedents in Lagos and national politics point to the fact that he is never a leader but a dealer. Many still recall with nostalgia how Tinubu relegated the older Afenifere chieftains who piggybacked him to power in 1999. For the records, late Funsho Williams convincingly won the governorship ticket of ...

In this exclusive interview with The Sun team in his Lagos residence, he revealed what transpired behind the scenes before, during and after the annulled election and the role played by different persons and interest groups. He said, contrary to widely held beliefs, Abiola never nominated anybody into the regime of the late General Sani Abacha, and explained that some of his father’s former allies who chose to serve the late dictator had already decided to be part of his regime and his father could not stop them. Kola Abiola also denied accusations by some family members who alleged that they were living in penury because he cut...

‘How Tinubu Betrayed Bola Ige In 1999’

Image
Sun, 5 May 19 The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has been accused of betraying Chief Bola Ige. A member of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Senator Femi Okunrounmu,  made the allegation. Okunrounmu alleged that Tinubu worked surreptitiously to ensure that Ige did not emerge winner of the primary of the Alliance for Democracy (AD). Okunrounmu, has said that contrary to what has been in public domain it was actually the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu who spearheaded the plot to deny the late Chief Bola Ige his presidential ambition. Okunrounmu in an interview with The Guardian alleged that Tinubu worked surreptitiously to ensure that Ige did not emerge winner of the primary of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) because of his (Tinubu) ambition. He said that there were several reasons for Ige to have won the primary, especially as Pa Abraham Adesanya’s deputy, who took part in appointin...

Tinubu knows about Funsho Williams murder; Buhari surrounded by ‘vampires’ – Fani-Kayode

Image
March 2, 2015 Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, has again attacked the APC and its national leader, Bola Tinubu, calling them ‘vampires’. In a statement on Monday, Fani-Kayode said “whether the APC wishes me well or not, I shall live long and prosper. What they think about me is neither here nor there and I lose no sleep over it. It is only what God thinks about me that matters and they are not God. They do not like me and I do not like them and that is fine by me. We do not need to like each other and all we need to do is to meet in the field”. Continuing he said, “rather than continuously talking about me and making infantile and primitive statements, they should spend their time praying for the soul of the late and great PDP leader, Chief Funso Williams, who would have been governor of Lagos state, who was mysteriously murdered a few years ago by a group of evil, power-hungry and callous men, and who was a formidable ...

His suit listed the following as respondents: the police inspector general at the time, Sunday Ehindero; the Lagos state commissioner of police; the investigating police officer in the murder case; the attorney general of the federation at the time; Modupe Shasore; the former Lagos state governor, Senator Bola Tinubu; Dr Muiz Banire; Babatunde Edu; Dele Alake; and Oladele Ajomale. Why Does Lagos State Government Keep Buying Buses For A Private BRT Operator?

Image
L ast week, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced that his government had donated over 800 new buses to the BRT operator in the state. This is the second time the State government will be using public funds to acquire buses for the sole operator of the Lagos BRT scheme. On May 2016, the former governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration donated 50 new buses for BRT operations in the state. This happened after the state government disengaged a LAGBUS-operated BRT franchise in 2016. The franchise had over 36 franchisees with hundreds of their buses. Primero Transport Service Ltd – a privately-held company – was then made the sole operator of BRT in the state. See also: The History of The Lagos BRT (25 Things Every Lagosian Must Know) Some schools of thought wonder at the rationale behind LASG continuous largess to a private company.  Furthermore, there are also doubts about the sincerity of the LASG to rid the state of the notorious danfos.  T...

Bola Tinubu: The Corrupt Mini Deity Of Lagos By Churchill Okonkwo

Image
BY CHURCHILL OKONKWOMAY 09, 2018 When the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cautioned Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu to “stop playing god”, they completely mischaracterized his true identity. Bola Tinubu was not playing god. He is a god, a deity of corruption, and menacing ideas filled with deplorable wisdom and economic practices most foul that he has entrenched himself and his business empire in every facet of governance in Lagos State. Through him and by him, corruption permeates every major revenue generation contract in Lagos State. Many lonely folks, adrift in the Nigerian political area, keen to get into elective offices are drawn to the mini deity of Lagos. These faithful servants of the mini deity of corruption starting from Fashola to Ambode and Rauf Aregbesola‏ were required to endure a ceremony to join the cult that involved planting a seed of silence in them. Once elected, the seed gradually grew until the transparent system of governance is replaced with rotting contrac...

Covid19: Lagos State PDP demands transparency from Lagos state government

Image
The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos State, Adedeji Doherty has demanded transparency from the Lagos state government on the management of Covid19 in the state. Doherty advised the government to come clean and give a detailed account of activities to Lagosians. Doherty expressed his concern over what he called the suicidal secrecy. He observed that the government has refused to disclose the number of tests done in Lagos, the number of medical personnel, the number of beds, the capacity of isolation centres and the current occupancy. He said he had heard from several sources that the state was currently turning away confirmed Covid19 patients and telling them that the isolation centres are at capacity. In addition he said that the state has not disclosed how much has been donated, budgeted and spent so far on the management of the pandemic. Doherty called on the private sector, philanthropists and other donors to stop giving COVID19 support to the Lagos State govern...

When will Lagos State be free of one man’s messianic mentality?

Image
Who will liberate the state from Bola Tinubu’s suffocating grip? Who will free Lagos, our dear Lagos, and its people from this modern-day slavery by one individual who is playing God? Is there no man courageous enough to fight the fight of his life to free Lagos from this imprisonment? Is every Lagosian a frightened coward, or just an impotent enabler of Tinubu’s overreach? Is there no one man enough to tell Tinubu that enough is enough? Why are Lagosians sheepishly following this man whose moral standing and character have been called to question several times? Why must he continually be the one to decide who governs Lagos, or who holds any political office in the state? Who will free Lagosians and indeed Nigerians from Tinubu’s pomposity, insufferable arrogance, and self-enthralled breathtaking hypocrisy? These questions are a clarion call to virtuous people of good conscience in Lagos to come together to save the state from Tinubu. I have stated it repeatedly for all who h...

WORKERS DAY: Lagos PDP hails lagos workers, promises better conditions

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party, Lagos state chapter has joined in felicitating with the generality of workers in the state. According to the PDP workers in Lagos are worth being celebrated for their selfless services which has kept the state moving in spite of obvious discouraging government policies, particularly in the areas of Salary taxation, delayed & sentimental promotions, unsecured pensions & gratuities to mention a few. The Party charged the workforce to remain committed, selfless and productive as ever, stating that the welfare and other needs of the Lagos workers remain paramount on her mind. The Party hints that the Peoples Democratic Party shall reawake discipline in the civil service while shall also regularise workers recruitments, promotions, bogus taxation, provide cars & housing mortgages, give free medical services, payment of #68,000 as minimum wage, technological supports,  introduction of free lunch tickets, etc. Similarly, the tax paying infor...
