The Plateau Massacre: A Genocide Too Many! -Mike Omotosho, Chairman Labour Party. #Pcnforgreaternigeria

I am greatly saddened by the incident in Plateau were over 150 Nigerian lives were lost to the attacks of armed bandits. This is indeed highly worrisome, unfortunate and pathetic and we are pained by this recent attack that affected over 9villages in the state. I mourn and commiserate with the Governor, His Excellency, Simon Bako Lalong and the good people of Plateau State on their loss over this heartless and ungodly genocide. Such inhumanity should not be heard or experienced anywhere within our boarders. Whilst it is easy to apportion blames in a most difficult period of this nature, it is pertinent for us all to honor the memories of the dead by conclusively investigating why and how such large scale atrocities were successfully committed, and how in times of peace, about 200 lives were bludgeoned to death in our nation. The Federal Government should as a matter of immediate national security deploy every resource towards investigating and bringing the perpetrators of such h...

MIMIKO STILL NOT PART OF THE NEW LABOUR PARTY

Chidi Nwachukwu Events and circumstances occasioned by Dr. Abdulrahamon Olusegun Mimiko’s defection back to the Labour Party (LP), from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), are already getting tumultuous reactions from both the Labour Party’s leadership and from political pundits. The opinions of the observers of the Nigerian political atmosphere are also not left out in the gamut of reactions trailing the controversial development. The Labour Party’s leadership, under the “no-nonsense” stewardship of Dr. Mike Omotosho, has recently rejected the defection, labelling it an ill-conceived strategy devised to stall the progress being recorded by the party. The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), the rightful owners of the party and under whose auspices the party was established, have equally registered their disapproval of the move. That Dr. Mimiko succeeded in wangling his way back into the Labour Party, leaves much to be desired as both the lea...

Mimiko’s defection to LP: Salam, Ajulo got it wrong, insincere and misleading Nigerians It was not surprising that both Alhaji Abdulkadr A. Salam and Dr Kayode Ajulo have both toed the same line in the matter of the recent defection of Dr Abdulrahamon Olusegun Mimiko into Labour Party (LP). Nothing contrary was expected from the duo as birds of a feather flock together and more so that they both belong to the same infantry of lawlessness. The very prompt response of Alh. Salam and Dr Ajulo to the disorderly and incongruous defection is a clear pointer to the fact that Nigerians must be wary of those they regard as men of honour. In fact, they are better described and categorized as men of dishonor and enemies of genuine emancipation of the masses. Going memory lane, in 2014 at a controversial convention held in Akure, Alh. Salam and Dr Ajulo were both railroaded into the main leadership strung of LP to continue and consolidate their dirty political activities and the rots ini...
